The Town of Hilton Head Island is measuring vehicle volumes, speeds and pedestrian activity at Folly Field Road crosswalks near Starfish Drive, Seahorse Way, Ghost Crab Way, Island Club Road and Islanders Beach Park. Collection devices are deployed at each location for five days. A Sept. 22 town notice said monitoring at the final location, Folly Field Road and Starfish Drive, was scheduled to begin Sept. 28, 2026.
