Historic Fort Mitchel tours are listed weekly on Thursdays from Sept. 24, 2026, through Nov. 12, 2026, from 10 to 11 a.m. The Hilton Head Island-Bluffton Chamber of Commerce events listing gives the address as Heritage Library Foundation Inc., 2 Corpus Christi Place, Suite 100, Hilton Head Island. The listing says the site contains the remains of a coastal defense battery erected in 1862 to protect Port Royal Sound by way of Skull Creek and that costumed characters and a tour guide are part of the visit.
